Our Executive Director and President
Chris Tejcek
I moved to Florida in 1989. Most of my career prior to moving to Florida was corporate management and administration. My sister, Valerie, and I began a riding academy/training/boarding/breeding organization, Traditions Equestrian Center, in 1992. During this time we began rescuing horses and dogs. I was injured in a riding accident a in 1996 and was forced to retire from training horses in 1999. I then became a Regional Director for a company in central Florida for a number of years and continued rescuing dogs. In 2006 I began teaching puppy classes to people that had dogs with issues. My goal was to make every effort to keep as many dogs as possible out of the system. During this time a service dog organization had a training position available which offered me the opportunity to enter into the service dog world - the greatest door God ever opened for me. My journey with My Angel With Paws began January 6th of 2009 and in this short time I have been blessed with many dedicated volunteers and supporters. I continue to assist people with "problem" dogs in addition to the classes held for the service dogs in training. I also train for a local obedience club. I have a magnificent family of humans and critters and wonderful friends most of whom share the same passions for dogs. LIFE IS GOOD!!
As Executive Director of My Angel With Paws, Inc. I oversee all daily operations within the organization including:
- Conducting Puppy Classes
- Maintaining Records for Dogs, Volunteers, Vendors, Supporting Organizations, and more.
- Managing the hundreds of email/phone communications we receive daily.
- Researching new exciting ways to achieve our wonderful mission.
- Visiting and Evaluating potential clients and facilities.
- Interviewing prospective puppy raisers and volunteers.
- Development and administration of our educational program
As our organization grows i look forward to sharing some of these responsibilities with others.
