Volunteers - Our Founding Members

Lynda Bogart

When I started with dogs, my first love was conformation, which progressed to teaching conformation.  About four years ago I decided that obedience might be fun as I had always taken my show dogs through basic obedience classes for socialization. I decided that I liked training dogs and started with a Chinese Crested and I was able to move forward very quickly. I discovered training dogs was very enjoyable. I took the leap and added a Presa to my family, which challenged my training skills. Now that I have more experience, I find that my most recent addition, a labrador retriever, is without a doubt the most fun I have ever had training.   I live in Central Florida where my Presa guards my house and plays with my Lab - we are a happy family.  I plan to be a puppy raiser for My Angel With Paws. I currently contribute to the cause in any way I can. I feel My Angel With Paws is very needed and gives independence to individuals with disabilities who might not ever experience life as they will with a service dog.

Brittany Walker

Brittany is volunteering with My Angel With Paws to fulfill her Community Service hours for High School. Brittany helps train at Saturday Puppy Classes with any puppy that needs a handler.

I was raised in Florida the majority of my life.  From the age of 5 until about 14 I rode horses and competed in the Hunter/Jumper arena.  After high school and a tour of duty in the army I joined my father in running Millennium Network Specialists, a computer networking consulting company.  A couple of years later I received an offer for a great full time position at a software development and consulting firm as an Applications Consultant. Recently I have joined the development team at my firm writing custom software and customizing other third party software.  I will be writing a program to manage the records and contacts of My Angel With Paws and help in any way I can.  I have become very involved in the dog training and MAWP and take different dogs to obedience classes.  My wife, Lori, and I are expecting our first child, a little girl, on or about June 22nd and are quickly approaching our 5th anniversary.

Lori Ford

Lori has invaluable clerical skills and keeps all of our Puppy Class Roster and paperwork in order - We would be lost without her. Lori is expecting her first child in June, this year.

I have been working with service dogs for about 13 years,  in which time I have trained 11 dogs. I am now a jack of all trades for My Angel With Paws.  I am puppy raising Sofie, an Angel in Training.  I am also the muscle, and a promoter of all things related  to My Angel With Paws.

Marlyn Poier

I am a retired 42 year teaching veteran. For the past 13 years, I have been a Puppy Raiser for another organization. I presently have two Golden Retrievers, one is a therapy dog, and one is my service dog. I have taught puppy classes for four years for a local obedience club. At this point, you might say that my life has "gone to the dogs". I assist with fundraising and love obtaining donations at our functions.

Diane & Ken Yacoub & Zoe

Diane and Ken have been great supporters from the beginning. Diane is our talented seamstress, who is making all of our vests for our Angels in Training and all of our Service/Therapy dogs. Diane and Ken are training their own service dog, Zoe, a golden-doodle, who is full of spunk and has been quite the challenge, but is turning into an Angel.

Bonnie Reid

I have recently become familiar with My Angel With Paws through the leadership of the organization, of whom I currently work with or previously worked with in past business ventures. My background is accounting (registered C.P.A.) and healthcare (FHFMA), and my experience with animals is limited to owning four cats over the years. However, it was not difficult to gain a full appreciation for the mission of MAWP. I reside near Nashville, Tn, so it will be difficult at this point to fully engage in the day to day operations, but becoming a board member will allow me to lend expertise in more global areas, like fundraising and grant writing. I am taking a five part non-profit board training class starting in July, and have purchased a “Grant Writing for Dummies” book, so I am ready to go. I look forward to meeting and working with everyone!

Christina Brazee

My background is law enforcement. I retired after 14 years to stay home and take care of my twin girls and my 11 year old daughter. Our entire family has always loved animals and we’ve had everything from birds and bunnies to horses and dogs. After my introduction to services dogs and My Angel With Paws our relationship has grown and has subsequently evolved into this love for these Angels. I am enjoying the camaraderie and support of everyone involved with My Angel With Paws and look forward to learning so much more to help make a difference.
