What are My Angel With Paws puppy classes?
My Angel With Paws holds puppy classes every Saturday from 10am – noon at our training facility located at 3098 Marsh Road, DeLand, Florida. Participants in class are our Angels in training, MAWP breeder dogs, MAWP therapy dogs, service and therapy dogs from other service dog organizations and a number of residents and their pet dogs from surrounding communities. What makes our classes unique?
- We have up to 5 trainers at each class.
- Our classes are ongoing rather than blocks of 6 classes.
- Each class has an agenda but also addresses EVERYONE’S specific needs and issues.
- Some classes are held off site; shopping centers, parks, nursing facilities, etc.
- Puppies have playtime also. See below.
- All Angels in training will begin class preparing to take the AKC S.T.A.R. test (Socialization, Training, Activity, Responsibility) by the time they are 5 months old.
- All Angels in training will then prepare for the AKC CGC test (Canine Good Citizen) by the time they are 8 months old.
- All Angels in training will prepare for the Therapy Dog test at 1 year of age.
- All Angels in training will take a Temperament Test when they are 18 months old.
