To all of our wonderful volunteers and clients,
As a direct result of the Coronavirus Pandemic and its associated economic impact, the Board of Directors has decided My Angel with Paws will be permanently closed. We ended all operations as of Friday April 3rd, 2020.
Undergoing a long arduous journey since its inception in 2009, MAWP, remained a 100% volunteer based 501(c)(3). From humble beginnings in a pole barn to building the training center, surviving hurricanes and floods, MAWP was ultimately able to place 39 dogs with disabled partners. These 39 successful placements reflect a 50 - 60% graduation rate, meaning our volunteers helped train almost 80 dogs over the past 11 years. Dogs that did not make it through the program were adopted to loving forever families.
None of this would have been possible if not for our extraordinarily generous volunteers, who always went above and beyond, making this achievement possible.

Welcome to the My Angel With Paws website!
My Angel With Paws is a volunteer based non-profit 501(c)3 organization committed to expanding public understanding and knowledge of the needs of children and adults with disabilities through the rescuing, breeding, training, placement and continuing education of service dogs in the state of Florida.
Thank you to everyone who made our inaugural golf tournament a great success
Due to high demand, as of October 2019, we are no longer accepting new applications for service dogs. Please check back later.
We train dogs to help people with disabilities live fuller, more independent lives. To keep our quality high, we specialize in a few types of service dogs.
Mobility Service Dog - Assists with retrievals, opening and closing doors, turning lights on and off, etc.
Balance Brace Service Dog - Assists in maintaining balance while walking, getting out of a chair or off the floor, etc.
Seizure Response Service Dog - Trained to respond to an individual's needs once a seizure has occurred
PTSD/Psychiatric Service Dog - Helps alleviate hyper-vigilance, trained to respond during an anxiety attack etc.
Our program is special in a lot of ways. We focus on the temperament of the dogs, using positive training techniques and encouraging their natural desire to please. The placement program includes a small-group training course that takes handler-dog teams into public under staff guidance, so the humans can learn what the dogs already have. MAWP staff gives support before, during, and after placement to give our teams the keys to success.
